Although these situations are extremely rare, patients should contact the office immediately if they have had a recent procedure and feel they may be experiencing a complication such as fever greater than 101 degrees, neck stiffness, visible inflammation with redness and swelling and/or drainage from a procedure site. For an even less likely scenario of progressive extremity weakness, numbness, tingling or incontinence  within the first 48 hours after a procedure, contact us and call 911 for a transfer to the nearest medical facility with imaging capabilities (CT or MRI).
