About The Pain Center
We Treat Pain Like It's Our Job — Because It Is.
Chronic pain isn't just something that hurts. It messes with your sleep, your work, your mood, and your relationships. You've probably already tried a few things that didn't stick.
That's where we come in.
At The Pain Center of Jonesboro, Dr. Savu and our team specialize in finding the actual source of your pain, not covering it up. We use a mix of procedures, medication management, physical therapy, and behavioral health support to put together a plan that makes sense for you.
We know what it's like to hurt every day. That's part of why we do this.

WHY CHOOSE US
We Don't Just Treat Symptoms. We Look for Answers.
Trained across 3 specialties
Dr. Savu's background in internal medicine, anesthesia, and pain management means he looks at the full picture — not just the spot that hurts.
More than just one tool in the box
Depending on what's going on, your care might include a procedure, medication, physical therapy, or behavioral health support. Usually it's a combination.
Guided by the right technology
When precision matters, we use ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance to make sure procedures land exactly where they need to.

We'll put together a treatment strategy that addresses the cause of your pain — not just the symptoms.
“The staff was friendly, caring, and made me feel comfortable from the start. Dr. Savu went out of his way to thoroughly explain the epidural procedure, which really put me at ease. The procedure itself was completely painless. I’ve been dealing with severe back and sciatica pain for three weeks, to the point that I couldn’t work or even get out of bed for very long. Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I am completely pain-free. I’m beyond grateful for the care and expertise I received and highly recommend Dr. Savu to anyone struggling with chronic pain.”
“I love my medical team both upstairs and down, they are doing there absolute best at keeping me at peace by diligently seeking approval from my finicky insurance company and giving me the absolute best advice and treatment for the multiple issues in my nervous system and back issues. I highly recommend this business to anyone with similar issues.”
“I have had pain from degenerative disc disease for 14 years. Dr. Savu has treated me for the past seven years. I have had amazing results from his treatments on my back and neck. I have had marked improvement of my pain and have been able to continue my core exercises which enables me to work and do many of the activities that I enjoy. I am a physician and recommend him to many of my patients.”
“Have had chronic disabling back pain for years. After two sessions of Radiofrequency Ablations by Dr. Savu, I had complete relief for the past two years. He's very competent and personable. I highly recommend!”
“Dr. Savu has been my pain doctor for almost 6 years. Has always been helpful and professional and relieves my pain. I have 2 titanium rods about 6 inches long in my back along with 12 screws. I broke my back about 6 years ago and I'm still seeing Dr Savu. He really shows a sincere interest in his patients. The front office people are always helpful and friendly.”
Doctor Savu has been my doctor for many years and he is great with his patients. He listens and doesn't judge you. Anytime I have a problem it's always delt with quickly and they always help me. I would recommend anybody needing pain management go see him.
FAQ
qUESTIONS WE HEAR ALL THE TIME
Find answers to common questions about becoming a patient, what to expect at your first visit, how to prepare for treatment, and when to contact our team after a procedure.
To get started, complete the patient intake form and bring your photo ID, medical insurance card, and prescription drug card to your first appointment. Patients must be established with a primary care provider and be referred by the physician treating their pain.
Usually, your first visit is an office evaluation where our team reviews your history, symptoms, and treatment goals. In some cases, a procedure may be done the same day, but that depends on factors like your insurance requirements, whether you take blood thinners, and whether the treatment requires ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance.
Patients are generally allowed to eat a light breakfast or lunch unless told otherwise. You should arrange for a driver, let the nurse know if you are taking blood thinners or are sick, and follow any medication instructions given by the office. For some diagnostic tests, pain medication should not be taken on the day of the procedure, while routine medications such as heart, diabetes, and blood pressure medicine should usually be continued.
If you develop severe back pain, new or worsening numbness or weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or signs of infection near the injection site, contact The Pain Center right away. If symptoms continue to worsen and you cannot travel safely, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
